Apply for a Grant

Missouri State Parks administers three federally funded grant programs and one state-funded grant program related to outdoor recreation. It also administers one federally funded grant program related to historic preservation. This page provides basic information about each program.

Purchase a Gift Card

A Missouri State Parks gift card lets you take advantage of a more convenient way to make camping reservations, purchase state park merchandise and give great gifts to your friends. A gift card can be purchased for $10 or more. Physical gift cards purchased online or by phone will be sent by postal mail. Please allow seven to 10 business days for delivery. E-gift cards will sent to the email address on your customer account within 24 hours.

Purchase an ORV Permit - ORV Riding

ORV permits can be bought online for up to three days of riding. Riders can purchase their ORV permit before arriving to the park. Permits are nonrefundable and nontransferable.

Rent a Watercraft - Paddling

Watercrafts are available for all-day and half-day rentals. A watercraft agreement will be completed at the park. A driver's license will be obtained by the park office and kept there until all rented equipment is returned.

Reserve a Meeting Space

Several parks and historic sites offer meeting spaces. Visit the Park Site & Status Map to decide which space is right for you and use the reservation system to stake your claim on your date.

Group Camp Regulations

To ensure a quality camping experience and to protect the park’s natural and cultural resources, visitors are asked to abide by the following rules. For more information or assistance, please contact park staff.

  1. Campers are to be supervised at all times.
  2. All Missouri State Parks rules and regulations are to be followed at all times.
  3. Cutting trees or limbs, picking wildflowers and capturing or harassing wildlife are prohibited.
  4. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited without written authorization from the facility manager.
  5. No pets are allowed in camp. Service animals are welcome. You must provide notification to the facility manager that you will have a service animal prior to arrival.
  6. Open fires are allowed only in designated areas with prior approval from the facility manager.
  7. No firearms are permitted in camp without written permission from the facility manager.
  8. The group leader or camp director must complete a daily attendance form. These records must be available for inspection at any time.
  9. Each group will have exclusive use of the camp’s recreational facilities. No other group camps can be used.
  10. The camp shall be subject to inspection at any time by authorized representatives of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and without any prior notification.
  11. Recreational vehicles, tents and buildings may not be erected without prior written permission from the facility manager.
  12. The camp is a 100% smoke free facility. Smoking is prohibited in the group camp facility or buildings, including but not limited to tobacco, marijuana and vaping.
  13. Park only in designated parking areas. Parking on grass is prohibited.
  14. No person shall disobey a request of authorized park staff, create a nuisance, use abusive language or unreasonably disturb or annoy others within the state park.
  15. All group camp users are required to dress appropriately at all times, including swimmers and sunbathers. Buildings are available for changing clothes.
  16. Camping organizations that fail to check in or out at the scheduled time on the group camp permit could lose future priority scheduling.
  17. Any violation of the above group camp regulations, violation of the Department of Natural Resources' regulations (Title 10 Division 90 of the Missouri State Code of Regulations), or violations of any other applicable regulations or laws by any group camp member or participant will constitute grounds for denial of future applications of the same organization for use of any group camp in the Missouri state park system.
