Missouri State Parks administers three federally funded grant programs and one state-funded grant program related to outdoor recreation. It also administers one federally funded grant program related to historic preservation. This page provides basic information about each program.

Purchase a Gift Card

A Missouri State Parks gift card lets you take advantage of a more convenient way to make camping reservations, purchase state park merchandise and give great gifts to your friends. A gift card can be purchased for $10 or more. Physical gift cards purchased online or by phone will be sent by postal mail. Please allow seven to 10 business days for delivery. E-gift cards will sent to the email address on your customer account within 24 hours.

Purchase an ORV Permit - ORV Riding

ORV permits can be bought online for up to three days of riding. Riders can purchase their ORV permit before arriving to the park. Permits are nonrefundable and nontransferable.

Rent a Watercraft - Paddling

Watercrafts are available for all-day and half-day rentals. A watercraft agreement will be completed at the park. A driver's license will be obtained by the park office and kept there until all rented equipment is returned.

Lodging Rules for Centralized Reservation Lodging

Pomme De Terre, Summer, Camping, Inside Yurt

To ensure a quality lodging experience and to protect the park’s natural resources, visitors are asked to abide by the following rules. For more information or assistance, please contact park staff.

  • The set capacity for a lodging unit cannot be exceeded.
  • Tents or other alternate lodging accommodations are not allowed in the rental area.
  • Infants and children count as occupants. At least one occupant must be 18 years of age or older and must be the responsible, paying party. Up to two dogs are allowed in each designated Cabins for Canines unit (fees apply); pets are not allowed in the other units.

* Each camper cabin, premium camper cabin and standard yurt has beds for four adults and room for two children's sleeping bags.
  • Checkout time is 11 a.m. Check-in time is 3 p.m.
  • Solicitation or selling of any item (including the resale of a lodging unit) is strictly prohibited.
  • All lodging units are 100% SMOKE-FREE. Cleaning fees and additional charges for repairs to rooms may be assessed due to damage or burns caused by TOBACCO OR MARIJUANA PRODUCTS OR THEIR SMOKE. The use of these products, and of vaping devices, is prohibited in lodging units.
  • Extra fees will be assessed by park management when extra cleaning is required.
  • CABINS FOR CANINES: Dogs must be attended at all times in the unit and at any location in the park. As a courtesy, one medium kennel and one large kennel are provided in each unit for your use. Kennels must be cleaned, sanitized and left in the unit at the time of checkout. If a kennel is missing or damaged and cannot be reused, the responsible party will be charged the cost of replacing the kennel(s).
  • Campfires are the responsibility of the guest and are restricted to the fire rings and grills provided. Large fires and the burning of trash are strictly prohibited. Please put out your fire completely before leaving.
  • All plants and animals are protected in Missouri state parks and historic sites. Please help protect the natural resources by not gathering or cutting firewood, digging holes, using insect-killing devices, collecting plants or animals, or performing any other act that may harm the natural resources.
  • The discharging of firearms; BB guns; paintball guns; bows; slingshots; or any devices that use burning powder, explosives (including fireworks), compressed gases, etc., is prohibited.
  • All lodging units (except Johnson’s Shut-Ins' camper cabins) have a two-night minimum stay requirement for reservations on weekends (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday).
  • Holiday weekend reservations for all lodging units have a three-night minimum stay requirement (Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights). Johnson's Shut-Ins, Lake of the Ozarks and Table Rock have a three-night requirement on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day (day before, day of and day after).
    • Applicable holidays:
      • Friday, Saturday or Sunday of Memorial Day weekend
      • Independence Day if it falls on a Friday or Saturday
      • ​Friday, Saturday or Sunday of Labor Day weekend
    • No same-day registration is allowed for any lodging unit; advance reservations are required.
    • No reservation fee is assessed to the customer on top of the nightly fee.
    • If a reservation is canceled less than four days in advance of planned arrival, the cancellation fee plus one night’s lodging fee will be assessed. Fees for modification and cancellation of reservations are as follows:
      • Change fee: $10
      • Cancellation fees:
        • $25 for camper cabins, premium camper cabins or the premium yurts
        • $20 for Outpost cabins or yurts
      • Please check the information board for a listing of rules and regulations, as well as special management regulations specific to the facility.
