Apply for a Grant

Missouri State Parks administers three federally funded grant programs and one state-funded grant program related to outdoor recreation. It also administers one federally funded grant program related to historic preservation. This page provides basic information about each program.

Purchase a Gift Card

A Missouri State Parks gift card lets you take advantage of a more convenient way to make camping reservations, purchase state park merchandise and give great gifts to your friends. A gift card can be purchased for $10 or more. Physical gift cards purchased online or by phone will be sent by postal mail. Please allow seven to 10 business days for delivery. E-gift cards will sent to the email address on your customer account within 24 hours.

Visitors to Missouri’s state historic sites have a wealth of experiences awaiting them, from touring Civil War battlefields to seeing the birth sites of Mark Twain and Harry S Truman.

Purchase an ORV Permit - ORV Riding

ORV permits can be bought online for up to three days of riding. Riders can purchase their ORV permit before arriving to the park. Permits are nonrefundable and nontransferable.

Rent a Watercraft - Paddling

Watercrafts are available for all-day and half-day rentals. A watercraft agreement will be completed at the park. A driver's license will be obtained by the park office and kept there until all rented equipment is returned.

Several parks and historic sites offer meeting spaces. Visit the Park Site & Status Map to decide which space is right for you and use the reservation system to stake your claim on your date.

Pin Oak Facility

Lake of the Ozarks State Park

Plan your special event with Missouri State Parks! Whether you are planning your wedding, a family reunion or a meeting, the rustic setting at Pin Oak Facility in Lake of the Ozarks State Park is the perfect choice for your event.

The lodge features massive stone fireplaces, a rustic front porch, iron light fixtures with the oak leaf motif, pine floors, and sturdy wooden benches and tables. The lodge’s secluded setting is made all the more scenic by glimpses of the Lake of the Ozarks through the trees.

Built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps, Pin Oak Facility has been the site for generations of gatherings by nonprofit youth groups such as Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. Campfire sing-alongs, new friends and outdoor adventures made the camp a lasting memory for youth of all ages.

In 2010, the dining lodge burned to the ground. Today’s lodge was built with the same craftsmanship and careful attention to detail as the original. Five of the cabins near the lodge were also modernized, transforming Pin Oak Facility into a unique wedding/event venue.

FEATURES

Pin Oak Facility combines the charm and rustic atmosphere of the historic camp with modern conveniences essential for meeting the needs of today’s users. The lodge will seat 130 comfortably inside and features a patio with tables and umbrellas. The full catering kitchen is ready for use.

CABINS

Located near the lodge are five cabins that can be used by guests renting the dining lodge. The cabins were built as part of the original camp in the 1930s but have been updated to provide modern conveniences while retaining their rustic charm.

The cabins include heating and air conditioning, restrooms with showers, microwaves, coffee pots, dorm-size refrigerators, and linens. One cabin offers two queen-size beds and a futon; one has a full-size bed and a queen-size sofa sleeper; one cabin includes a full-size bed and a futon; and one cabin features a queen-size bed and two twin-size beds, and is accessible to people with disabilities. One of the cabins features a full kitchen and has two bedrooms with full-size beds and a queen-size sofa sleeper.

Twenty-four rustic screened cabins can also be rented. There are centralized restrooms for these cabins. The camp can accommodate up to 130 people overnight.

PLANNING A WEDDING?

Pin Oak Lodge provides the perfect rustic setting for an outdoor wedding surrounded by nature. The wedding ceremony can be held at the camp’s amphitheater, located near the lodge. The wedding reception can be held in the lodge, and the nearby guest cabins can be used by the wedding party before or after the wedding.
