This natural-surface trail loops around Agate Lake and shares a section with Jasper Lake Trail. Hikers may see a variety of birds in this area\, including eastern bluebirds\, Baltimore orioles and numerous kinds of waterfowl. \nThis hike is considered moderately difficult and is expected to take 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete. Participants are encouraged to bring water and dress for the weather. This event is free\, open to the public\, and suitable for all ages. Pets are welcome but must be leashed. \nRegistration is required and can be completed using the link provided here. DESCRIPTION:10/25/2025 | Wakonda State Park | La Grange\, MO\nWakonda State Park will host its annual Spooktacular Halloween event on Saturday\, Oct. 25. Activities will take place in the Boulder Lake and Wakonda Lake campgrounds. \nRegistered campers may choose to participate in the park’s campsite decorating contest for the chance to win a prize. Judging will begin at 3 p.m\, and prizes will be awarded to the top three sites at the end of the night. \nThere will also be campground trick-or-treating that is open to both campers and day-use visitors. To limit congestion and promote safety\, trick-or-treaters will park at the Wakonda Beach parking lot and be transported to the campgrounds by tram. \nAll activities are free\, but regular camping fees apply.
