SUMMARY:Jack-o'-Lantern Jubilee
DESCRIPTION:10/25/2025 | St. Joe State Park | Park Hills\, MO\nRegistered campers are invited to join in the Halloween fun at St. Joe State Park’s Jack-o’-Lantern Jubilee! Activities will take place in the campgrounds and at nearby Missouri Mines State Historic Site. \nRegular camping fees apply\, but the event itself is free. For more information\, see the event schedule or call the park office at 573-431-1069. \nEvent Schedule:\n2-4:30 p.m. – Off-Road Saunter to Missouri Mines \nAt 2 p.m.\, park staff will lead an off-road vehicle ride from the Campground 1 showerhouse to Missouri Mines State Historic Site. Activities at Missouri Mines will begin at 2:30 p.m. with an extended trick-or-treat tour\, during which site staff will hand out candy at various stops. Guests should bring a bucket or bag to collect candy. After the tour\, pumpkin painting and a mine cart photo booth will be available at the site from 3:30-4:30 p.m. \nDrivers of licensed vehicles are also welcome to come out to Missouri Mines for these activities. If you choose to drive a licensed vehicle\, please use the main roads and park in the historic site’s gravel parking lot. \n6 p.m. – Campground Trick-or-Treating \nCampground trick-or-treating at St. Joe will go from 6-7 p.m. Campers are responsible for providing the candy\, but participation is voluntary. Participating campsites will be given a Halloween placard to post at the time of registration. Trick-or-treaters should wear a costume and bring a bucket or bag to collect candy. Trick-or-treating is only open to registered campers and their guests. \n7:30 p.m. – Best-Decorated Campsite Awards Presented \nRegistered campers may participate in a Halloween-themed campsite decorating contest. Campsites will be judged by park staff during the trick-or-treating. Awards for the top three sites will be presented at 7:30 p.m. \nMany Missouri state parks and historic sites are hosting Halloween-themed events. Most of these events feature activities for both campers and day-use visitors.
