DESCRIPTION:11/5/2025 | Missouri State Museum | Jefferson City\, MO\nMissouri has long stood at the crossroads of innovation\, especially in the field of transportation. From the steamboat era to the Space Age\, transportation has been a powerful force in the state’s development. Likewise\, transportation development in Missouri has had a profound impact on both regional and national history. \nJoin museum interpreter Princess Garner for a dynamic journey through time as we explore Missouri’s role in the evolution of American transportation. This presentation will touch on historic moments\, surprising connections\, and the people who helped move the world forward. \nThis program is part of the Missouri State Museum’s Landing After Hours series. Landing After Hours is held the first Wednesday of each month at Jefferson Landing State Historic Site. Doors to the site’s Lohman Building open at 6:30 p.m.\, and the program begins at 7 p.m. Convenient parking is available in the lot next to the Lohman Building\, located at 100 Jefferson St. \nThe program will also be livestreamed on the Missouri State Museum’s Facebook page.
