DESCRIPTION:10/4/2025 | Missouri State Museum | Jefferson City\, MO\nMissouri Folk Arts and the Missouri State Museum will continue their celebration of the Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program’s 40th anniversary with a presentation by folklorist Amy Skillman on Saturday\, Oct. 4. Skillman served as Missouri’s second state folklorist from 1986-1988\, during which she managed and conducted field research for the Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program. \nSkillman’s presentation will begin inside the Capitol rotunda at 2:30 p.m. It will be followed by a question and answer session and an opportunity to view the museum’s newest exhibition\, “Missouri Makers: Celebrating 40 Years of Missouri’s Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program.” \nThis event is free and open to the public\, and there is no need to register. We’ll be showing the 2001 animated film “Monsters\, Inc.” This kids movie is just over 90 minutes long and features Missouri’s own John Goodman as the voice of Sulley! \nThis event is free and open to the public\, and there is no need to register.
